Going to college has been a great experience so far, but there is definitely more to the college experience than meets the eye. There are so many new people and experiences and you really learn who the real “you” is after being on your own. It’s so nice to finally have my own schedule and responsibilities. College is definitely more than the classes, clubs, and social life, though. Here are some of the lessons that I’ve learned along the way.
My mom and I decided to hit the Grove for a spontaneous summer shopping trip this morning and afternoon, there are some great deals happening right now! I decided to wear a fairly simple outfit-my go to striped shirt, some J crew Pixie pants, and my favorite Sam Edelman booties. I threw in a pop of color with a pink Kate Spade purse.
Makeup is something I love. I don’t necessarily wear it to cover up my flaws or to hide from my natural face-I wear it because I truly love applying it, and the extra burst of color it gives to my face. A good, full face of makeup helps to tie together a pretty outfit, and I always feel like it makes me look more polished. Over time, I’ve perfected a routine that is both realistic for my lifestyle and budget friendly. I try to go for products that are inexpensive, high quality, and natural looking on my face.
